PTE for Canada: what it is used for and the CLB you need
Canada does not accept PTE Academic for IRCC purposes. IRCC has accepted PTE Core for economic-class immigration since 30 January 2024, which is exactly why the Core track exists as its own test, not a variant of Academic.

Express Entry works in Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels, not the 10-90 scale directly. IRCC converts your PTE Core score to CLB.
