These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Kooroo PTE("we", "us", "our"), and govern your access to and use of the Kooroo PTE mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The service and purchases
Kooroo PTE provides practice materials and tools for the Pearson Test of English, including practice questions, AI feedback, full timed mock exams, and personalised study-plan features. The core practice experience is free: every question type is open to attempt without paying.
Optional one-time VIP passes (30, 60 or 90 days) unlock AI scoring on VIP-marked questions. VIP passes are sold on the website through Stripe and on Android through Google Play, and on iPhone through the App Store, at the price shown at checkout when you buy. A VIP pass is a single, one-time purchase: it does not renew and does not charge you again on its own, and the Service has no subscription of any kind. A pass unlocks AI scoring on your account everywhere, whichever channel you bought it on.
Refunds. A purchase made on the website can be refunded within 7 days, when the pass is largely unused; ask us at kooroopte@gmail.com. A purchase made in an app store follows that store's own refund policy and is requested from the store, not from us: Google Play for Android, Apple for iPhone. Whichever channel refunds you, the pass is withdrawn from your account.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and its features and content may change over time.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us at kooroopte@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content without our written permission;
- access the Service by any automated means (including bots, scrapers, scripts, or bulk downloading), or use multiple accounts to extract practice questions, answers, or other content, whether for personal collections, competing services, or any other purpose;
- reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its security measures;
- upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others; or
- use the Service to cheat on, or misrepresent your performance in, an official exam.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
5. Our content, and what you may do with it
All content in the Service, including practice questions, prompts, model answers, lesson text, feedback, scoring output, design, and software, is owned by Kooroo PTE or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use it for your own exam preparation, and nothing more. We grant no other right, expressly or by implication.
Without our written permission, you may not:
- copy, save, screenshot, record, republish, post, sell, licence or otherwise distribute our content, in whole or in part, on any site, channel, group, drive or app;
- build a question bank, course, book, video or other product from it, whether or not you charge for the result;
- use it to train, fine-tune, evaluate or benchmark any machine-learning model, or to create a derivative or competing service;
- collect it by automated means, or share your account so more than one person practises on it; or
- remove or obscure any notice of ownership.
Content you submit, such as recorded speech and written answers, remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to run the Service for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. If you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, write to kooroopte@gmail.com and we will look into it.
6. Not affiliated with Pearson
Kooroo PTE is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by Pearson. "PTE Academic", "PTE Core", and "PTE Academic UKVI" are trademarks of Pearson, used here for identification only. Practice scores and feedback are estimates and do not guarantee any official exam result.
7. Not immigration or legal advice
Kooroo PTE does not provide immigration, visa, or legal advice. Score requirements, thresholds, and destination information shown on the Service, including on the PTE by destinationpages, are informational only. The relevant immigration or education authority's published requirements control, and you should confirm current requirements with that authority before you rely on them.
8. Disclaimer & liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
